So T.V. in the summer is pretty lame. Someone told me I should watch "So You Think You Can Dance". So I did. And this week, there was a really cool dance on there. Well, I enjoyed it anyways. I wanted to embed it, but it wouldn't let me, so just follow the link.

Again with the Boat
So I told you the story about the boat while we were on vacation. Well, my brother-in-law sent this email to all of us and has graciously agreed to let me post it. I think he is one of the funniest people I have ever met. Anyhow, here's what he sent:
Of the 17 of us that left that evening, only 9 survived. Some were eaten, others drowned while trying to escape. Next time we should bring more licorice.
Maybe we can have a boat people reunion next year.

It's kind of hard to see where you're going in the dark.

We're Back!
So many pictures. So unwilling to write and write and write. So I'll give you a highlight. But first, the sister-in-law for which my husband mistook me (see previous post) is on the right in the picture below. What do you think? Is he off the hook?Next is my favorite memory and picture from the trip. We took the boat out one evening, skied for about an hour and a half, stopped on a beach to have some watermelon and then pushed off for more skiing. So what are all the girls doing sitting on the back of the boat in the middle of the lake at night? Paddling with our feet ,of course. Why? Because the boat died and there was only one paddle aboard. That may be forgivable had it been the first time that week the boat had died - leaving people afloat on the lake begging others for a tow. But no. It was the third. But the men were so confident in their ability to fix the boat, they felt that two paddles would be superfluous.
Unfortunately, there aren't many people out and about on the lake at night. So we were stuck for three hours before flagging someone down to drag us to the dock. I felt sort of bad for all the men who were taking turns with the one paddle trying to get us home. The women had a pretty good time, I think. At least I did. Everyone seems funny when you're stuck in the middle of the lake at 11:00 at night.
Lots more happened. But I'll just let you look at the pictures. We had a great time. THANK YOU so much to my in-laws for having us and planning it - especially my mother-in-law, who offered to let the Boy sleep at her house while the Man and I stayed somewhere else. So, so nice.
And I absolutely cannot overlook our friends, the Pulley's, for taking Roxy in while we were gone. THANK YOU! She is so depressed to be back home with us.

Invisible
I just had to share this little tid bit. About an hour ago I was standing in my mother-in-law's kitchen when The Man walked in from the dining room. He was not standing more than 5 feet away when he said, "Has anyone seen Anna? Has anyone seen my wife?" Then he turned and faced me, looking right past me - still searching. I stood there staring at him but did not say anything. I was certain that within a second he would see me. He then pushed past me still asking, "where's my wife". He actually bumped into me. I thought it was a joke. But it wasn't. As he started to walk out of the room I finally said something. Apparently he thought I was his sister, so he never looked directly at me. I guess after almost nine years of marriage, I have become invisible. Now, should I use my powers for good or for evil? Hmmm...
*for those of you who wanted to see it, I'll post a picture of the sister-in-law when I get back next week.

We're in Vegas
And what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. So no details for you. Actually, we're visiting The Man's family. See you when we get back!

Things That Make you Go "Ew"
I hear the collective "ew" now. Apologies to the mom's whose kids have also played with it. So I'm not the best mom ever. If it makes you feel better, there is a new brush tip on it. And I don't think this is any worse than the Boy opening his mouth really wide and shoving it in Roxy's face JUST so she will french lick him. Now that's gross.

Loves His Daddy
The Boy loves to snuggle. And if you're laying in the floor, he'll cease that opportunity to climb all over you.
Hmm...what's in here?
C'mon dad, look at me!
