Alright...let me quell any rumors for ya. I am not pregnant. Do I talk about it enough to make people to wander? Probably. Will the room be a small, second nursery? Hopefully. Will it be used for that within 9 months? Definitely not. I just want to be prepared when number two finally comes along.
Now, on to what I've learned trying to finish this room by myself.
1. Circular saws are a little scary.
2. Make sure you watch the blade until it has come to a complete stop.
3. Watch the cord attached to the saw so that it does not get in the way of said spinning blade.
4. Elecrtical tape works on power tool cords.
5. Jig saws, unlike circular saws, are fun.
6. Shop vacs should have a filter in them when using the "dry" setting.
7. My quilt is machine washable.
8. Wear a mask when sanding off spackle.
9. Dry spackle turns wet inside your nose after inhaling it.
10. The overhead lights we installed are really hot to the touch.
11. The male workers at home improvement stores are very willing to help you.
12. They assume you know nothing.
13. This is more work than I thought, but I still managed to dry wall the most difficult portion of the room.
I can't wait for this to be finished.

You go girl! That's awesome!
holy cow anna. you are amazing. thanks for addressing the pregnancy topic:)
Good to hear you squash the Mormon grapevine concerning the ghost pregnancy... Lol : ) The room looks great! Just wondering when the padded walls are going up (Just kidding) I personally would suggest that with a little more dry walling, and a bit of imagination, we could have a racquetball court upstairs! Who's up for that idea? (Me, that's who! Lol)... Good to see you and your beautiful family doing well! Much love from our family on this side of the planet, to yours... x
are you doing the drywall alone? come to my house next!
I would NEVER believe you were prego even if you were...I saw you leading that music in RS and if you turn sideways we can't see you any more darling!
If it's a nursery than GREAT! But I'm with anonymous, racquetball court would be completely awesome!
Wow! Do you hire out. I have some drywall issues at my house.
Nice work Anna!
I am SO impressed that you are on top of the whole nursery thing. I wish I would have done the same before I became prego since I cannot paint or do much now :( I cannot wait to see the finished project!
